Holiday Park Specific FAQs

Arrival time is any time after 4pm for all standard of accommodation (please note on the parks website if it states earlier checking, this is not applicable to our festivals. All persons must check in from 4pm) and departure is by 10am.

If you arrive early please have patience, miTour will work with the holiday park to try and speed up the checking-in process to get you in sooner.

If you plan to arrive later than 7pm please notify miTour during the booking process as alternative arrangements will need to be made for picking up your keys

Please refer to the website of your specific holiday park. In the event of the reception being closed you will be given an emergency contact number, typically for the parks security team

Towels are not included, please bring your own

Bed linen is provided

No, all water, gas and electric charges are included in the price

We recommend that you bring towels, tea towels, washing up materials, and toilet roll with you as these are not
supplied

Check out time is 10am on the day of departure for all accommodation, including Camping and Touring pitches

All our units are fully equipped and contain pots and pans, kitchen utensils, plates etc., microwave, toaster and a cooker. In the lounge, you will find a colour TV

Irons aren't always available so we recommend, if you require an iron, to bring your own

There are disabled units available on each of the holiday parks. Please request at time of booking for availability

Dogs are allowed in certain standard of units on the holiday park, this needs to be requested early in the booking process and is down to availability

Although dogs are allowed in some pre-booked units at the holiday park miTour (as a directive from the RFU and WRU) do not allow dogs at any of our festivals so all dogs will need to be kept at the holiday park

There will be designated smoking areas at all holiday parks. All the holiday homes are non-smoking, likewise all public buildings are also smoke free

You can give a preference at the time of booking but this is not guaranteed. We assign holiday parks based on a number of factors including the standard of unit requested, the size and the number of units required. All requests are of course subject to availability at any of our holiday parks

Most of the holiday parks we use have a launderette onsite. Please refer to the website of your specific holiday park for more information

Yes, there will be entertainment at the holiday park

They can, in a change to our procedure, from 2018, we will be charging £50 per person for entry only into the festival. This does not include use of the shuttle busses or any type of accommodation

As soon as we know you are attending we ask you to advise us of the accommodation you require and subject to availability we will reserve this for you group. There are various grades/standards of accommodation as well as sizes and you will be asked to get your requests in early

Festival Specific FAQs

Yes, you can purchase food at the rugby festival

No, you will not be allowed to bring your own BBQ to the festival. Food will be available at the festival site

All teams play at the one festival site. Matches may have a staggered start times, usually morning and afternoon

Coach shuttles will be available to transfer you to and from the holiday village on both Saturday and Sunday. If you have children in different age groups please see 'I have children in two age groups'

If you have two children in different age groups who are playing at different times, one in the morning and one in the afternoon, you are advised to make your own way to the festival site. Due to the logistics around kick off times the shuttle service will be provided based on the number of people per age group

miTour work with many holiday parks for each of our festivals, while we endeavor to ensure the holiday park is close to the rugby festival this is not always possible. We try to ensure all of our holiday parks are within a 1 hour coach journey of the rugby festival. You will be advised the travelling time to your specific holiday park when we have received and assigned all rooming for the festival

There will be a photographer at the festival and teams will be able to purchase photos at the festival and when you return home

All teams will play on both days in various competitions depending your finishing position on day one

Yes, all players will receive a medal

All our events are sanctioned by the RFU or the WRU. It’s your responsibility to ensure the Permission to Tour request is sent to your relevant RFU/WRU and a copy supplied to miTour

Presentations take place at the rugby festival following the completion of each group

Yes, there will be first on site at all of our UK festivals

Yes, this is all done online and we will send the links to you. There is also a Tour Questionnaire that you will be required to complete once you have confirmed your booking

Where at all possible rugby will be played over the weekend. In the event of extremely bad weather matches will be firstly reduced in length, then a reduction in the number of games played should a limited amount of match time be deemed safe and playable. miTour staff will be on hand to keep teams up to date in the event that any changes to the playing schedule are required
