OSPREYS CHALLENGE
ENGLAND 2020

Be part of the festival seasons greatest finale by bringing your club to the 2020 Ospreys Challenge, previously known as the Lincolnshire Rugby Festival, this well-established event has been successfully run for years, and now with the added attraction of Wales’ most successful region, the Ospreys, it is the perfect way to round-off a busy season in style.

This is a two day event with games being played both Saturday and Sunday for ages under 7’s up to under 13’s, and with teams travelling from all across the UK in 2019 to participate in this oversubscribed festival, make sure you register your involvement early for 2020.

The teams are accommodated at our holiday park partners sites along the Lincolnshire coast, and with efficient shuttle buses safely transporting you to and from the festival each day held at Grimsby RFC, let Mitour take the strain for your end of season club getaway.

Tour Intinerary

This is how your weekend is structured:

After months of fundraising, arranging tour kits and generally getting excited, it’s time embark on your annual rugby tour.

Whether you are arriving by land, sea or air a friendly member of the miTour team will be on hand to welcome you to your chosen accommodation. Having received the keys to your accommodation for the next few days, you’ll be free to enjoy the extensive facilities available at your holiday park and relax into your surroundings ahead of a weekend of rugby action.

It’s the children’s time to shine as the Ospreys Challenge England kicks off at the impressive fields of Grimsby RFC.

Your shuttle bus will collect your group from the holiday park to arrive at the festival site in plenty of time for your teams first kick-off. Your team will compete in the pool stages of the competition while the adults soak up the unique atmosphere of a miTour festival, and enjoy the hospitality of the host club.

Once your games are done for the day the shuttle bus will take you on the short trip back to your holiday park, where you can enjoy the rest of the evening and plot your team’s tactics for finals day tomorrow!

Its time to meet the player's! Pro14 Ospreys players will be on hand to present medals to participants.

Depending on the age group, your team will take part in either a round-robin (U7-U11) or waterfall (U12 & U13) type competition, U14 and upwards usually play a knock-out format.

Presentations occur after your final game of the day, all players receive a high quality participation medal.

After presentations, it's time to head back to your holiday park to enjoy the park entertainment after an exciting 2 days of rugby fun.

Sadly, it’s time to say goodbye for another year as you make your way back with your club, no doubt with memories that will last a lifetime!

Just a big thanks from TJs for the superb tour the weekend. Everything was spot on, from the organisers pitch side (which was so helpful), the girls in the tent, and the help from you all that was at hand all weekend, it could not be faulted. Our boys are buzzing after their first tour and looking forward to next year already. The delay at the end was totally out of your control and I know all teams understood the difficulty faced but safety of the players is paramount, and for us anyway it wasn't a problem. Thanks again, top work.
