Rugby Tournaments 2018

Rugby Tournaments 2018

Looking for Rugby tournaments for the kids in 2018? miTour have some great events lined up to get involved in!

Summer 2017 has only just arrived, but this doesn’t mean you can’t start planning for 2018. miTour has already organised a quality line-up of rugby union tournaments for the coming year. Between March and May, we’ve got an array of rugby festivals in the UK and beyond.

Rugby is becoming an even more popular sport with youngsters. Despite some parental concerns about injuries, many believe rugby is an excellent sport for children. It helps teach discipline and the quality of getting back after a knock down (quite literally!).

The Rugby World Cup brings countries together every four years sharing the sport globally, and continuing to expand the sport’s reach. This means rugby tours to Australia, the Middle East and South America are all possibilities for teams.

Find out all of the information about our 2018 rugby tournaments and be sure to sign up your youth rugby club before it’s too late.

What Does the Rugby Tournament Involve?

All of the rugby tournaments include one or two days of playing and two or three nights staying nearby to the rugby festival.

The first day includes arrival and check-in to the accommodation. The evening can be full of entertainment and excitement for the following day’s match.

The next day or two is all about the rugby! Teams will play against each other in the pool stages, before competing for silverware in the Cup, Bowl or Shield competitions subject to their placement in the pool stages.

When booking a tour, all of the accommodation and travel to the festival are included, plus access to entertainment. This takes so much of the stress out or organising it yourself.

Where Are the Rugby Tournaments in 2018?

2018 Rugby tournaments are being organised in the UK and beyond! Our home nations events will be held in Wales, Hampshire, Essex and Lincolnshire. If you pop across the channel, France is our next hosting country, with rugby tournaments in Provins and Lille.

We also have one rugby tournament in both Belgium and Holland. Each place will hold a different experience for you and the team.

The Hilversum rugby festival in Holland attracts 60 teams from all over Europe, offering great opportunities to meet teams from different countries. This tournament consists of one competitive day of rugby, followed by a festival including live music, entertainment and great food. It’s an unforgettable trip!

Why Participate in a Junior Rugby Tournament?

Rugby tournaments and festivals are a great way to bring a team together to compete. The excitement of travelling to somewhere new and participating against other teams is unbeatable. It will surely be a memory that the kids have for years to come! The European rugby festivals are an opportune time to teach children about new cultures, languages and food.

With the 2019 Rugby World Cup in Japan getting nearer, it’s a great way to get the team excited and show them how amazing it can be when teams from all over the world meet and compete against each other. The only problem is they might beg you to take them every year!
