DEPARTURE

Depart London Heathrow for Auckland via Doha.

DAY 1

ARRIVALS DAY

Kia Ora - Welcome to Auckland and New Zealand! You will be met by your Tour Guide at Auckland International Airport after clearing customs and immigration, and collecting your bags. Depending on your arrival time, there may be time for a sight-seeing tour of Auckland City that will include the Harbour Bridge and views from Mt Eden.

DAY 2

AUCKLAND

Take a behind-the-scenes tour of the legendary Eden Park Stadium, before warming up with a training session ahead of your first match tomorrow.

DAY 3

AUCKLAND

Head to the top of the Sky Tower for a guided tour and 360 degree views, before facing a local Auckland School team in the first match of the tour.

DAY 4

AUCKLAND TO ROTORUA

Today we make the short journey inland to the Bay of Plenty and Rotorua, the cultural and geothermal hub of New Zealand. On the way, stop off at the Hobbiton Movie Set for a guided tour of the real Middle Earth, and this evening we are treated to a very special cultural experience and traditional Hangi dinner at the Mitai Maori Village.

DAY 5

ROTORUA

Spend the morning in an intensive training clinic at the New Zealand Sports Academy, and this afternoon further explore the area at your own pace.

DAY 6

ROTORUA TO TAUPO

Today we continue our journey South to the lakeside town of Taupo, stopping off at Wai O Tapu – a geothermal wonderland on the way. There will then be a chance to soak in some of the many natural hot springs nearby, ahead of a training session this afternoon.

DAY 7

TAUPO

Today is a chance to experience the volcanic environment surrounding you, in the breath-taking Tongariro National Park. In winter, head up to one of the nearby ski resorts for a ski or snowboard lesson, and in summer choose one of the many other adventure activities available, such as white water rafting, kayaking, or even hike the world-famous Tongariro Crossing.

DAY 8

TAUPO TO PALMERSTON NORTH

Travel through the Rangipo Desert to Palmerston North, arriving in time for your next match against a local Kiwi team.

DAY 9

PALMERSTON NORTH TO WELLINGTON

Discover New Zealand’s sporting history at the National Rugby Museum, before continuing the journey South, to the nation’s capital city – Wellington.

DAY 10

WELLINGTON TO PALMERSTON NORTH

Explore Wellington on a city sight-seeing tour to include panoramic views from Mt Victoria and a visit to Weta Workshop this morning, before a training session this afternoon.

DAY 11

WELLINGTON

Discover all the fascinating interactive exhibits at the national museum – Te Papa – before your next match against a local school this afternoon.

DAY 12

WELLINGTON TO KAIKOURA

Cross the Cook Strait on a scenic ferry ride to the South Island this morning, and continue to the coastal town of Kaikoura.

DAY 13

KAIKOURA TO CHRISTCHURCH

Spend the morning on a whale watching expedition, before continuing the journey South to Christchurch. On arrival take a city sight-seeing tour to include the Port Hills and Re:Start Mall.

DAY 14

CHRISTCHURCH

Witness the might of nature on the Red Zone bus tour this morning, which showcases the lasting damage of the devastating 2010 & 2011 earthquakes, before facing a local school team in your final match of the tour.

DAY 15

DEPART CHRISTCHURCH

After breakfast head to the airport, where your trip of a lifetime sadly comes to an end. Time to bid farewell to your tour guide, and depart New Zealand with lifelong memories!
